In 1989, Environmental Systems Design, Inc. (ESD), a premier engineering firm decided to develop an in-house support staff to design and manage information technology solutions for its engineering disciplines. Over the following years, this information services division successfully provided technology services to local governments, utility customers, and businesses in the real estate, health care, banking, and finance industries.
On November 22, 1996, the information services division emerged from the parent company as SD∙I (System Development∙Integration, Inc.) with a mission focused exclusively on providing superior information technology solutions and advisory services.
SD∙I’s roots in engineering offer a unique perspective on our technology projects in the following ways:
From systems of the past to technology of the future, we’re there.
