On-Site Technical Support and Maintenance for Large Municipality's Emergency Management Office


Project Description

SD·I provides system support, programming development, and ad-hoc reporting services as required by the city's office of emergency management and communication. SD·I also provides Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) maintenance for the city’s emergency evacuation CADD files.

Project Goals

To provide the emergency management office with on-site technical support services specific to the city's current 9-1-1 System. Services include support of desktop hardware/software, network hardware/software, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), and communication systems. In addition, SD·I will fulfill the office's technical needs and will support the system in the absence of key personnel responsible for maintaining and managing the 9-1-1 system.

SD·I Services

  • Providing system support for over 77 LAN positions
  • Troubleshooting (including Microsoft Excel spread sheets, Outlook sync issue to BlackBerry, unexpected errors from Windows, mail system issues (Novell GroupWise), adding programs, FAA Flight Tracker, Emergency Management Centers/Homeland Security, printer issues)
  • Reviewing the rule base in firewalls
  • Providing infrastructure assessments and recommendations
  • Providing quality control of GIS data
  • Creating and updating map data
  • Filling map requests
  • Maintaining city-wide emergency evacuation CADD files
  • Providing on-site support 24x7x365
