Design and Construction of Emergency Operations Center for Large Midwestern State

Project Description

SD·I designed the technology systems for a new state emergency operations center. This new facility is completely state-of-the-art, with advanced communications and information technology systems, huge display walls, and Department of Defense-level security. SD·I designed the Data Center, mission-critical servers, networks, wireless systems, and information security architecture.

Project Goals

SD·I’s goal is to provide a robust, secure, reliable, and scalable IT infrastructure to support emergency dispatch and coordination between all state agencies and departments.

SD·I Services

• Consult on attributes of the facility that impact the reliability and security of the facility’s IT systems
• Design the physical spaces for IT systems
• Design IT systems, including:
  • Servers
  • Data storage systems
  • Network systems (including systems to facilitate voice over IP, streaming video, and other advanced communications functionalities)
• Final commissioning and testing of all IT components
