SD·I Launches SD·IDiversify
Initiative Celebrates SD·I’s Past and Future Commitment to Diversity
CHICAGO — (April 16, 2008) — SD·I (System Development·Integration, LLC), a systems integrator specializing in technical and operational support for capital asset intensive organizations, today launched its SD·IDiversify initiative, a program which will provide opportunities for other minority companies through partnerships, mentoring programs and community activism.
When SD·I recently grew out of several Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) programs, the company developed the SD·IDiversify program as a way to demonstrate its continued commitment to diversity. SD·IDiversify fosters growth for minority and women owned businesses through business partnerships and mentoring. Through the program, SD·I is also committing to continue its workforce minority recruiting and continuing education offerings. Furthermore, SD·I continues to nurture a corporate culture that celebrates diverse perspectives, and exceptional community activism and outreach.
“Diversity is fundamental to SD·I’s culture and will continue to be a paramount value as we grow and experience further success,” said David Gupta, president and chief executive officer, SD·I. “We are proud of our past history and success as an MBE enterprise and now look forward to enlarging the circle of opportunity for other companies.”
Under Gupta’s leadership for more than 12 years, SD·I has served nearly 150 clients; opened a second office in Denver and has achieved consistent annual growth in revenues. Continuing to build on SD·I’s core competency of managing critical assets through technology, SD·I is accomplishing its mission of becoming the preeminent advisory services firm in its customer set.
Gupta is also the founder of the First Chance Initiative, a student internship program designed to provide minority public high school students the opportunity to work in a professional office environment. Interns in the program earn compensation, experience and scholarships for advanced education. SD·I has paid over $500,000 in salaries and scholarship funds through the First Change Initiative and currently employs several past students.
