CHICAGO - May 15, 2007 - SD·I (System Development·Integration, Inc.), a public sector systems integrator specializing in command environment systems, infrastructure and operations, announced today the kickoff of the 2007 First Chance Initiave by welcoming summer interns from area high schools and universities to work at SD·I. This program will include kids from Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, a long-term residential home for troubled and hurting young men and women in Chicago.
“SD·I believes in shaping the future by supporting the development of local youth,” said David Gupta, President of SD·I. “We look forward to working with our interns and hope that this opportunity will provide them with a vision of how education sets the foundation for a business career.”
The ten-week internships will provide interns with an opportunity to learn about information technology and to apply their skills to real life projects. In addition to gaining practical experience in computer applications, engineering and high technology, interns will become accustom to working in a professional environment, participating in teamwork, producing within deadlines, and communicating effectively.
From providing strong technology solutions to building strong communities, we’re there.
