SD·I Celebrates 10th Year Anniversary

Year-long Festivities Mark Growing Firm's Committment to Diversity and Community Involvement

CHICAGO, IL, November 30, 2006 -- SD·I (System Development·Integration, Inc.), a public sector systems integrator specializing in command environment systems, infrastructure, and operations, announced its 10th anniversary today. The firm, which started in November 1996 with $255K in revenues, ends 2006 with a projected $25MM in revenues and over $117MM in cumulative revenue growth over its 10 years.

“As we celebrate this occasion, we are clearly focused on expanding our geographic reach, while continuing to deliver responsive customer solutions and building a team-oriented, high-performance culture,” states SD·I President David A. Gupta. “These initiatives will keep SD·I front and center in the government technology marketplace throughout the next 10 years.”

The SD·I story began in 1989 when Mr. Gupta identified the need for technology solutions that fulfill the operational needs of owners of spatially-oriented, mission-critical assets. On November 22, 1996, SD·I officially spun off from parent company Environmental Systems Design, the largest minority engineering firm in the Midwest. SD·I has since invested in building a technology-based consultancy, comprised of more than 100 business and technology professionals averaging 14 years of industry-specific experience per employee. The privately-held company delivers to a roster of over 140 recurring clients, ranging from the world’s busiest airport, the nation's second largest public transportation system, and several of the nation’s mission-critical command centers.

To celebrate its 10 year milestone, SD·I hosted a 10 Year anniversary gala at the historical Chicago Cultural Center, featuring a program highlighting the firm’s history, leadership, community involvement, and employees. Mr. Gupta applauded the firm’s staff, and spoke of the importance of the firm’s values of integrity, diversity and community: “SD·I’s cultural diversity allows our Team to approach client challenges from several different perspectives: our staff has over 40 different degrees from Computer Sciences, to engineering to Architecture and Urban Planning, 36 types of technical certifications, 10 different advanced degrees, and speaks 10 different languages,” says Gupta.

In recognition of the Firm’s 10th Anniversary, SD·I will launch its 11th Year program, coordinating several community activities and team building events throughout the year. SD·I will also launch its IExcel customer satisfaction program, which will include quality and customer service initiatives. Future corporate objectives include the opening of an SD·I office in a new location within 2007, the first in a multi-tiered plan to achieve $200M per year by yearend 2016.
