quality management and IV&V.
Today's complex projects demand a level of quality that requires a proven, structured plan and a deep understanding of quality management concepts and processes. Over the last 18 years, SDI has developed proven quality management methodologies that we use in all projects.
Continuous Process Improvement for Support Contract Quality Management: In our support contracts, we employ industry best practices to ensure quality for our clients. We have developed a Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) model that assists us in meeting and constantly improving quality standards set by our clients. This methodology is based on time-tested quality improvement concepts from sources like Deming’s PDCA Shewart Cycle and Six Sigma practices. Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) is a completely independent, third party review of a technology project to ensure quality and identify issues or deficiencies. Because the IV&V provider remains outside the domain of the software developer, IV&V provides an objective, unbiased perspective that is aligned completely with the client's goals and perspective. IV&V identifies issues and their cause, and recommends a course of action for correction. IV&V can be considered an 'insurance policy' on complex technology projects that mitigates risk and greatly increases success rates. SDI's IV&V Team has served large government organizations performing custom software development, ERP implementations, and other highly complex enterprise-level software implementations. With a wide range of skills and experience to draw from, the SDI IV&V Team can help ensure that your investment in technology will meet your needs and perform as you expected. |
